Parks and Walks
Point Defiance Park houses a wide variety of activities. A five mile drive, plenty of walks to choose from, a beach, and Tacoma's zoo and aquarium (7.5 miles away from my house in University Place).

Titlow Beach overlooks the Narrows Bridge. If the tide is low, you can enjoy walking on the beach. But if it's high tide, there's always the forest trail, too (2.5 miles away).

Chambers Bay Golf Course presents a vivid view of the Olympic Mountains to the west; on a clear day, that is. Take a stroll around the three and a quarter mile trail or walk over the railroad bridge to sit on the rocky beach and soak in the scenery (1.5 miles away).

Kerry Hall & Gamelan Pacifica
A Javanese gamelan ensemble meets in Kerry Hall of Cornish School of the Arts in Seattle to fill the room with meditative music (42 miles away).
